Release date: November 19, 2019
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Series Description:
When
you’re born without a trace, no one knows you’re a weapon.
Book Blurb:
It's not against any formal rule for us to sleep together.
It is, however, strictly forbidden to have feelings for each other.
I can't do one without the other at this point.
Which means I am doomed.
When you don’t know who you can trust, reality distorts. It twists and oozes, disintegrating and reformulating to meet whatever needs its masters demand.
Just like me.
Just like Kina.
Except everything is different now that we know who we really are.
But there’s a second reality, you see.
This one can’t be manipulated.
It just is. Solid and true, it takes our mission, our training, our orders, turning them into nothing but secrets and lies.
And this new reality means my old reality is trying to kill everything I love.
Including her.
Read the second book in USA Today bestselling author Meli Raine's new Stateless trilogy.

Teaser
Field
surveillance is never this interesting.
I should
know. The last six weeks have been nothing but following McDuff to doctor
appointments, on coffee runs, on actual runs where he eats up ten miles of road
like it's nothing, and on an assortment of domestic errands so boring, I need
to overcaffeinate myself to get through them.
Finally,
McDuff and Lily Thornton are on a date.
Took
them long enough.
For six
weeks, every spare moment of my life has been spent doing one of three things:
reading reports about activities at the compound, following McDuff, or learning
what I can about my brother.
That
last one has turned out to be the hardest.
Kina,
according to my sources, is doing fine. There are more babies in the nursery
than usual, but other than that, the place is calm. Sally and Smith seem to be
the local leaders in charge, and Svetnu has transferred some new people from
Canada, a guy named Roish from Toronto and Patti, from Canmore.
Until I
meet them, I won't know whether they're any good, but as long as they leave
Kina alone, it's fine for now.

Reviews and Endorsements for
Meli Raine Books:
“The
first book in the False trilogy is a psychological thriller worthy of
Hitchcock, keeping you guessing until the very end.” — Apple Books Editors
“…intrigue
and dark humor on display in this thriller…”
While
the immediate—and more compelling—tension in Raine’s (A Shameless Little Bet, 2018, etc.) heart-pumping series opener
comes from Lily’s constant proximity to her would-be killer, the action takes
place against a backdrop of secret government scandals. The “screwed-up
D.C.-insider scandal,” as it is clumsily summarized early on, is pleasingly
twisty…
Fortunately,
Lily’s voice is captivating, wry, and tough enough to sell this thriller. The
novel ends with a cliffhanger that startles, if only because readers will have
become so attached to Lily.
