Release Blitz: Bridling His Vampire @Suzdemello #vampire #EroticRomance

Bridles and vampires? Bondage and discipline? YES YES YES! (@MFRW_ORG #vampires)

Bridling His Vampire is a short story in the bestselling Highland Vampire series from Ellora’s Cave.

The events in the story took place in 1766, between Desire in Tartan (1759) and Rakes in Tartan (1816). It’s better enjoyed in the context of the series; however, it’s written as a stand-alone.

What’s it about, you ask?

Edgar, Laird MacReiver, has never regretted his decision to wed Isobel, daughter of Clan Kilburn’s laird, until she bites his tongue and drinks his blood. Still, he's determined to bridle the wild child of the infamous vampire clan by any means necessary, including bondage and discipline.

But are some women impossible to tame?

Bondage and discipline? So it must be sexy, right? SHOW ME.

Okay! Here’s an excerpt!

Edgar’s lips caressed hers and her mind emptied of everything except this new experience. Isobel wanted to remember everything about her first kiss: the strength of his arms, the warmth of his lips followed by the wetness of his tongue as it slid slyly into her mouth.

His flavor was distinctive, a spice like nothing she’d tasted before, a toothsome relish composed of spring water, mint and honey. The scent of the forest mingled with his aroma, a fragrance that melded good male sweat with an underlying freshness that reminded her of the summer sun glittering on the sea.
His hand trailed down her back to curve over her bottom. He squeezed, and the tingling heat of passion spread from his broad warm palm to encompass all of her. A purr rose in her throat. She slid her arms beneath his and held onto his shoulders from behind.

She pulled him in tight, wanting nothing but this kiss to go on and on forever. Life had become so simple. Their mouths touching, their hands exploring, their bodies pressed against each other were everything. Nothing else mattered.
She sucked on his tongue but still wanted more. She nipped and then, tasting a new flavor, licked the tip. Was it his blood? She didnae care. He was delicious.
She sucked harder. Yes, that was his blood seeping over her tongue from the tiny bite, and it was intoxicating… He was intoxicating. He groaned and his grip tightened. She became aware that his muscular body had hardened against hers.

That she’d taken his blood had stirred him. A bolt of pure lust snapped through her. He was aroused by her need and that, in turn, inflamed her. His maleness thrust blindly, seeking her warmth and heat. She pressed herself against him not only with desire but also with a sense of wonderment. She had not known how good he’d feel pressed against her.

His hands shifted, roamed, explored… He took her wrists and drew them down to the small of her back.

He pulled away but she couldn’t reach for him to bring him back. He gripped her shoulders and looked into her eyes with a peculiar intensity. His blond hair swung loose, and she realized what he’d done.

He’d bound her hands behind her back with his leather hair tie.

“What…why did ye do that?” She tried to tug her wrists apart, but he’d tethered them firmly.

“To stop you from running away from me.” His panting breaths stilled, became controlled. He was always so controlled. She hated that.

He wanted to control her, and she hated that even more. “I don’t run from ye. I’m not a’feared of ye!”

“Isobel, you’ve been running from me for five years.” He began to unbutton her blouse.

“What are ye doin? Me da will kill ye!”

“Oh, I don’t think so.” He slipped a hand into her blouse. Her corset pressed her tightly, supporting her breasts, and he pushed his fingers down into the valley between the mounds. Withdrawing his hand, he released one, cupping it, flicking the nipple, watching it tighten.

He’d never touched her breast before. No man had. It felt good, but it was wrong. She raised a knee and tried to jam it into his cods. He twisted, and she struck air instead. Off balance, she teetered.

Book Spotlight: Revenge of the Orgasm #erotic #poetry

Today the spotlight is on Revenge of the Orgasm, a sensual, intimate poetry collection by award winning author and Poet, G.P.A. (Greatest Poet Alive). I was totally blown away by this unique and erotic autobiography. It took me on a sizzling journey that I hated to see end.

Available at Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Revenge-Orgasm-Erotic-Autobiography-Series/dp/0615782043

Her Flow

Time slows, halts, and speeds up. The planet we exist upon spins off its axis. Tremors touch terrain tearing it simpler than sharp knives through wet paper. Waves raise themselves to the height of skyscrapers and mountains, splashing upon land, obliterating homes, and drowning several. From the cracks in the Earth, fire springs forth after the water has passed.

This is not Revelations realized. Nor has the Apocalypse arrived. The world is not meeting its end. And there are no natural disasters occurring.

I am in the embrace of her arms and thighs. Equilibrium is dizzy from womb’s whirlwind. Obelisk’s body is drowning in tsunami’s torrent. This is her flow

Read more excerpts and preorder at Bookstrand:

Story Snippet

Loki clenched his teeth and waited for the first bite of the lash. He’d crossed the line—again. And now he had to pay the price. The whip whistled through the air. A second later it bit into his flesh. The sting burned like fire, but he didn’t make a sound. He would not give Kane the satisfaction of hearing him cry out.

The whip landed again, this time on his ass. Tears welled in his eyes, but he blinked them back. A third strike. This time the leather wrapped itself around his thighs. Loki’s head jerked back, but he remained silent. Twice more the whip sliced into him, and then everything stopped. His agony settled down to a burning ache, but Loki knew his punishment was just beginning.

Excerpt: Mace #Scifi #Manlove

MACE

Blurb

In a secret military complex, a scientist uses genetic engineering to spawn a new breed of humans who can shape-shift into animals. One-nineteen, a bat hybrid, longs for his freedom, but when he finally gets a chance to try his wings, he's afraid of getting caught and hides in an underground cave.

Brad Walsh is an experienced caver, but an accident leaves him trapped underground. Rescue comes in the form of a shy stranger, who calls himself Mace. Brad invites Mace into his home—and his bed. But he has no idea that his virgin lover is a shape-shifter who's on the government's most wanted list.

For the first time in his life, Mace knows what it feels like to have someone care about him, but staying with Brad is out of the question.

Excerpt

Never in a million years could Brad have predicted what happened that night. He rarely went to bars. Too much noise, too many people… …Besides, he sucked at striking up conversations.

“Don’t be antisocial,” the guys had told him. “Just relax.” Someone bought him a gin and tonic. One drink turned into two, then three, then four……. Brad could barely keep his ass on the bar stool. When he spilled his drink, the curly-haired bartender came right over to mop it up. Their eyes locked and Brad did a double take.

Am I seeing things, or did the bartender really wink at me?

“I’m Lewis,” curly -hair said.

Brad felt his face heat as he stammered out his own name.

“You look a little green around the gills, Brad, but I have just the thing for you.” Lewis adjusted his jeans, and there was no mistaking the wink this time.

“I……uh……”

“Leave it to me. You won’t be sorry.” Lewis turned away, and a very flustered Brad couldn’t help admiring the man’s fine ass. Heat curled low in his belly. It had been a long time since he’d been with anyone—or drank so much liquor. Maybe I’m reading too much into this. God, he hoped not.

By the time the bartender came back with his drink, Brad felt like he had a fever. He stared at the tall glass of amber-colored liquid and sniffed at it. “I don’t know… …What is it?”

“Hair of the dog. Fernet, lemon, and ginger beer. Guaranteed to get you on the road to recovery.” Lewis’s sexy lips turned up in a devastating grin. And if it doesn’t, I’ll take you home myself.”

Excerpt

“John….” For a moment, his nerve failed him.

John glanced up and became still. “Yes?” Brett heard his breath hitch.

“John, I just wanted to say… I’m sorry.”

A look of mild surprise crossed John’s face, and then his expression hardened. “You’ve already apologized.”

“No,” Brett insisted. “Please, let me finish.” John’s eyes met his, and he gave a brief nod. “I miss the way we were together, before I—” Brett swallowed. “—before I did something really stupid.” He watched as John’s face contracted as if in pain. “Not that us having sex was stupid, don’t get me wrong.” Fuck, this is difficult. Brett struggled to find the words to express what was in his heart. “But the way I chose to go about things, that was stupid, and the way I treated you after, well, that was downright cruel.”

John seemed to be holding his breath, his gaze fixed on Brett.

“What I’m trying to say—and making a real mess of it—is that I want us to go back to how we were before I fucked up. I’ve made you unhappy. Hell, I’ve made both of us fucking miserable. But I want to put things right.” Brett took a deep breath. He’d never been this hesitant his entire life. “Can… can we start again, please? And… and see where things take us?” Those last few words had him eyeing John anxiously. Please… please say yes….

John stared at him, lips parted, eyes shining. Slowly, he exhaled.

“Yes,” he said at last. “I’d like that.” He took a step toward Brett—just as someone rapped loudly on the door.

“Are you two ready? You won’t believe the crowd that’s waiting for you!” Trish sounded positively gleeful.

“And that’s our cue,” Brett said reluctantly. He smiled. “Ready?”

John nodded, a shy smile spreading slowly across his face. “Ready.”

"As the kiss deepened, her body trembled—which only made his grip on her tighten. He wanted to keep his little bird…make her sing out with pleasure." –The Burlington Manor Affair, Saskia Walker

Excerpt:

“The trouble with this arrangement,” Rex commented as he walked across the room, “is that I’m enjoying it rather too much.” He watched her reaction.
Carmen stopped dead, standing on the patterned rug in the middle of the room. “What are you saying?”
Rex sat down in a winged armchair.  “For a month you do everything I want, every weekend, absolutely anything and everything.” He paused, allowing his message to sink in. “And in return for that you get my half of the property.”
“I told you I’d pay.”
Those eyes of hers, such defiance. How delicious it was to see her fire.
“That won’t be necessary. You will have earned every tiny part of the property by the time I hand it over. Don’t worry about the money.”
She knotted her fingers together. “You’re trying to embarrass me. That wasn’t part of the bargain.”
“I don’t agree. Mostly because I don’t seem to have to try very hard before you get embarrassed. I think you’re embarrassment trigger and your arousal trigger are very close together.” He lifted his shoulders in a shrug. “I can’t help that, and neither can you.”
She pressed her lips together. She was clearly annoyed, and yet he could also see that she was acutely aroused. The hands-on treatment he’d given her out in the grounds had her poised for action. She was taut and watchful, barely waiting to be instructed.
Rex took a deep breath and savored the heady atmosphere of sexual anticipation.
When she noticed, she hissed as if in objection.
Rex lifted an eyebrow. She lowered her eyelids, but watched him from beneath her lashes. Rex laughed. Had Carmen Shelby always had these withheld submissive desires? It hadn’t been obvious before, of that he was certain. And the constant battle she was having with her needs—was that part of the package? Or was this dilemma of hers because she’d revealed her trigger to him, perhaps inadvertently? Whatever the reason, neither of them could put it back in the box now. No way. Now that he knew her little kinks and foibles he intended to play them out to their full extent.
“So what is the problem?” she demanded after he left her standing there in silence while he admired her.
“A month might not be enough.”
She glared at him.
“It’s day two and I’m loving every moment,” he continued. “Seems such a shame to put an end date on it.”
“You’re winding me up.”
“I’m being honest.” He was. This was too good.
“In which case you lied to me. If you don’t intend to stand up to your end of the deal, I’m walking out of here right now, and if I have to do that I promise you I will only deal with you through a solicitor!”
Angry Carmen was hellishly hot.
“Is this the ballsy businesswoman speaking now, or are you saying you can’t handle more than a month of this?”
Her eyes blazed.
“Seriously, aren’t you enjoying our time together?”
“You know I am, in some weird fucked-up way.” She folded her arms across her chest. “But I want a limit on it, for the sake of my sanity.”
Sanity? What did that really mean? He’d find out, all in good time. He knew he’d pushed her on the terms. “Fair enough. I suppose I’ll have to stick to my word.”
“It’s only sex,” she blurted, as if it was an afterthought.
“It is…and I must say I’m liking these kinky sex games of yours.”
“Mine?”
“Yes. Yours. Okay, let’s begin.”
She rolled her eyes.
“I’d like you to prove to me how much you want the house and how hard you’d work to get it.”
“Now you really are trying to humiliate me.”
“Not at all. You said it made it easier for you when I took charge. Although I do think there’s a part of you that likes that…the humiliation.”
Oh, how her cheeks flamed.
Rex smiled. “Strip for me.”

Long bio:

Award-winning British author Saskia Walker first dreamed of writing her own stories when she discovered a handful of romance novels stashed away in her school library. An avid reader, she lapped up the adventures and the life-affirming emotion of these stories, but always felt dismay when the bedroom door closed the reader out. She vowed that in her stories all the passion would be right there on the page!

Saskia began writing in the late 1990s. By that time she'd traveled the world, gained a B.A. in art history, an M.A. in literature and the visual arts and she'd worked in several diverse careers—but the stories in her head simply had to be written.

It is the combination of potent eroticism and strong storytelling that has become the leading characteristic of Saskia's work. Fascinated with seduction, she loves to explore how and why we get from saying "hello" to sharing our most intimate selves in moments of extreme passion. She writes across genres, often incorporating elements of history, the paranormal and the fantastic in her work. As well as many novel- and novella-length publications, Saskia's work has now appeared in more than seventy international anthologies. Her debut novel received the Passionate Plume award for the Best Contemporary Erotic Romance of 2006, and two of her novels have been nominated for a RT Book Reviews Reviewers' Choice Award.

Nowadays Saskia is happily settled in Yorkshire, in the north of England, with her real-life hero, Mark, and a houseful of stray felines. You can visit her website for more info.

*Sings off-key, as usual* "I've lived all around this great big world,"…*trails off* *coughs* Ahem. I actually moved around quite a bit as a child, but just in the US. Before my memory begins, we lived in Florida and Pennsylvania, and Texas. After that, well, there were two NY houses, two Texas houses, two Colorado houses, three North Carolina houses, a Maine cottage, and I’m sure I’m forgetting some. Some were imminently forgettable, but some were awesome. Then I moved out on my own into a succession of studio apartments and apartments I shared with roommates…ugh. That is an entirely different blog post, though. *shakes off the bad memories*

The first house I remember was a huge (to my three year old mind) red brick colonial in the NY countryside. It sat on the top of a hill that ended in a huge clump of honeysuckle bushes. *Sigh* In the winter, my father would take us sledding right there in the back yard, dragging the toboggan up the hill, loading us on and sending us flying down again until the wind and the chill seeped through layers of outerwear and our teeth chattered endlessly.

Then we'd all head inside for hot chocolate and warm up in front of the fireplace.

In the summer, we (when I say we, at this point I mean myself and my two older siblings. There were four of us at that time, so I was three of four rather than three of nine, which is what I ended up.) played outside in the fresh air a lot, and those honeysuckle blossoms provided a neat little treat. What? You've never sucked honeysuckle nectar straight from the blossom? You don't know what you're missing!

Anyway, that is one of my favorite houses that I've ever lived in, probably because it holds all those important memories, time spent with my siblings and my father.  Oh, and it was haunted.

*holds up right hand* Swear. At least, my father said it was haunted, and he had the civil war belt buckle to prove. My mom always supported his story, too, so I can't really doubt it. What?

Oh. Well, family legend has it that one dark night, my father and mother woke up, certain that someone was in the room with them. My mom didn't see anyone, but my dad said there was a man, a shadow really, asking him to come with him.

I know what you're thinking, because you've seen as many horror movies as I have. Don't do it. Now, my dad wasn't the trusting sort, he had his head screwed on right, but he went. He always told us that he knew…that he didn't feel any threat from this guy, so he went, followed the shadow figure all the way up to the attic of this old house.

And the attic was chock full of other people's junk, because this was a rental house, and people had left all kinds of things up there. Somewhere in the dark recesses of the attic, the figure stopped and pointed, and my dad found an old leather box.

Inside the box were the civil war items, a bullet, a belt buckle, a few pieces of metal, a canteen. No papers, nothing to identify the soldier the items had belonged to, and nothing of extreme value.

But my father kept those things all his life, and when he passed away they were still in a box on his dresser.

So this is the story of a house I once lived in, when I was three, and struggling to learn how to tie my shoe, when honeysuckle was a snack, and I had my father to tow me up the steep slopes.

Who was I then? I was the same person I am now, younger, more innocent of mind, less cynical maybe. The Lee I was then didn't even dream of writing, or the written word, (dude, I was three! Words looked like chicken scratches!) but stories… Oh yes, even then there were stories!

The V-Unit Blog Tour: Max Voss reveals all #MMromance #PridePromotions #Giveaway

How about a big welcome for Max Voss.

Howdy y’all. Thanks for letting come for a visit.

I’ve been asked how The V Unit came about. So sit back. Kick your shoes off and I’ll tell ya.

In September of 2012, I was just starting out. I’d had one short story published and didn’t know the first thing about writing. The friend who pushed me into writing wanted me to do a NaNo writing challenge with her. Now for those who don’t know what NaNo is, it is a group of people who want to write a book and need motivation. The challenge is to write an entire novel in thirty days.

October first came and went and I still had no clue as to what to write about. I had mentioned to her that the one thing I would never write about is vampires. I mean, after Anne Rice’s Interview With a Vampire, who could top that? So she double-dog-dared me to do a vampire story.
With the seed planted, I started out with a vague idea of a storyline. I’d recently watched a show on Marine’s so I combined the two. Once I had the key characters flushed out, the story wrote itself.

I basically wrote the entire body of the book in three weeks. I started a week later and finished with a day left. Granted, there was a lot of editing that needed to be one and some polishing work like you wouldn’t believe.

With only three weeks to work with, it made writing and doing research rather challenging. I wrote like made in the mornings and in the afternoons did nothing but research. There is on scene in particular that particularly enjoyed writing. I took it from an actual medieval document. For those who have already read the book, you probably know what I’m talking about.

This particular document was a big issue with the editors. They kept wanting to edit it to a more modern-day English. I finally had to tell them to leave that section alone, I wasn’t going to change a single word. In the end, I was right.

Because I was so new, the editing process took forever. I would learn a bit more, go back and work on it some, then put it away. Finally, I got to the point where I was confident enough to really go to work on it and after almost two years, I released it. Yep, it took that long.

Another question I’ve been getting: Is there a sequel coming of The V Unit? I’ll never tell.

Call of the Wilds #RetroRelease #Discount #MF #Paranormal

Call of the Wilds (MF)
Black Wolf Gorge 1

I’ve been fascinated by fangs and fur since I watched Lon Chaney, Jr. change into a werewolf. Those shape-shifting scenes must have stuck in my head and influenced my own writing. I've always thought the werewolf was the ultimate romantic hero, a complicated mix of tortured loner and alpha bad boy. It's a combination that's hard to resist. Call of the Wilds was my very paranormal romance. It was published by SirenBookstrand in 2010.

And now it's being offered as a Retro Release Special Discount! This title is offered at a 50% discount. Offer ends midnight CST, May 27th.

Blurb:

Veterinarian Karin Stone leaves the crime-ridden city for a job in the Pennsylvania Wilds, working with the only wildlife she can trust - the four-footed kind. But when she loses her heart to a hot-blooded alpha she becomes the target of a jealous she-wolf.

STORY EXCERPT

Beowulf, the pack alpha, lounged near the water trough while his mate slept close by. He raised his head as if he knew she watched him. Karin hated the intruding metal between them, preferring her visit to be up close and personal. As soon as she stepped through the gate, Bo got to his feet. He eyed the sleeping Lyka, then approached, his powerful legs and gigantic feet propelling him toward her in a smooth loping gait. She crouched before he could knock her down, and he washed her face with his long sandpaper tongue.

Maybe I should have brought the Y pole in with me. Apparently I’m in danger of being licked to death.

Bo danced around, then signaled playtime by lowering his front legs flat on the ground and raising his rear. When he rolled over in the grass for belly rubs, she could swear he grinned at her. But one low-key whuff from his awakening mate and he took off, seemingly embarrassed to be caught cavorting like a hundred-sixty pound pup. Evidently Lyka had other plans for the big alpha. She rose and nibbled at him, then mouthed his muzzle. He sniffed, and his tongue flicked in and out, testing the air. Surprised, she watched the courtship progress. It was a little late in the year. Generally mating occurred between January and April, but obviously these two didn’t care. If their cycle veered off track, so be it.

She would not complain. It would be wonderful to have pups around. Lyka pawed at Bo. He snapped at her and moved back.

“I wouldn’t play hard to get.”

“What the—” The harsh retort froze on her lips when she turned and saw Malcolm’s large, heavily muscled body behind her.

“Uh, sorry, doc. Did I scare you?”

It wasn’t fear turning her legs to jelly. Just hearing his husky rumble made her weak in the knees. He stood much too close for comfort, and that look on his face…Damn, it conveyed the same feral expression she saw on Beowulf. The man was infuriating, but her heart did a cartwheel.

“You shouldn’t sneak up on a person.” She turned her attention back to the wolves, all too aware of his presence behind her. His body radiated warmth like the sun, and she fought an urge to back up and bask in it. She wanted to rub up against him like an animal in heat and find out if he was aroused as she was. It scared the hell out of her, but at the same time, it excited her. Thank God he couldn’t read her mind.
