Aural Pleasure

Did your parents read to you when you were a kid? My mother did - fairy tales, mostly, and she fostered a love of books that has never gone away. Being a person who loves to read and hold a book in my hand, whether it’s print or digital, I hadn’t been taking advantage of recorded books. But now that three of my books have gone to audio I’ve been doing more listening and I feel like I’ve discovered another way to enjoy the stories I love.

Audio brings books to life and today's technology has made the quality of recordings better than ever. A reader with a great voice adds another dimension to the characters. Listening to books when I’m driving, walking or cleaning the house has made that time more pleasurable. I’ve now become a devoted listener.
