Views From The Beach

It’s morning. This is the view I wake up to. I look out at the water and I have to run down to the white sand and dip my toes in the surf.

There are no sounds of motorcycles here. Just sea gulls and surf. It’s so peaceful. A warm breeze surrounds me.

The summer is officially over but not for me.

Wow! What a great view. Are you in Florida?

Nope, I'm in MD, enjoying a run of gorgeous east coast weather while it lasts.

I lounged on South Carolina's sandy shore last week. It is truly heaven. I'm considered strange by my beach loving in-laws because my favorite time at the beach is fall and winter. It's the atmosphere of the ocean/coast that I crave, not crowds of people in miniscule clothes, sweating and frolicing in the surf :)
Give me a windswept coast and a cozy cottage, I'm sublimely happy!

I feel the same. I've stayed through many nor'easters. The ocean is fascinating, always changing. It's my favorite place.
